I hope this is going in the right place! We’ll see!
Hi I’m Bex, or Rebecca as my mother named me. I’m 36 at present, 37 in July. I’m just on 6″ tall as you can see by my blog picture and I’m on the journey of my life!
I’ve been married to the same wonderful guy for nearly 17 years. We have 3 children together.
I’ve been battling with my weight ALL my life. At my heaviest I was 161kg full term with my second pregnancy. I lost weight to have the third child and continued to try to loose it on my own after he was born. I’d tried Weight watchers twice, and given up. I’ve been weighing myself at my GP’s for a few years to try keep on top of my weight. I developed Gestational Diabetes with all three of my pregnancies and ran a huge risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes after each child was born. I don’t have Diabetes today.
As I said I was trying to do it on my own, cutting out junk food, eating more vegies and fruit and excercising. Then Steve saw the article in the paper about Damian’s Power of Food seminar. He won tickets to go! The rest as they say is history!
We sat through the seminar getting more and more excited, and by the end I’d decided this was what I wanted so we signed me up. Over the past challenge and this one the thing that has resonated with me the most is that this is about MY HEALTH! Not just the diminishing numbers on the scales (and BOY are they diminushed) but the whole journey to becoming the healthy person I was meant to be!
I have become SO passionate about spreading the word that I can’t help myself answering peoples questions on thier blogs and the website too. I’ve been trying to get all my friends on the healthful path too.
So that’s a little about me!

Bex Bex Bex chocolates!!! Temptations are awful and especially at this time of the year. Work is as bad as home. I have safe proofed my house no chocs, sweets, biscuits, fizzy drinks etc. I know I havent got the children around all the time but the grandies come quite often and if they want treats Ron and I take them to the shop then to the park.
I am exercising on my own at home and I am doing step ups on the steps, sit ups, lunges outside, star jumps and berpies, jump to reach a high point on the wall with one hand, run on the spot fast then slow etc. Try tying the skipping rope around your ankle and twirl it so you have to jump it. What about elastics.. two chairs and some elastic like the kids do or use to do. I am sure you can be creative and I am sure you will overcome the temtations. Come on girl this is for you a longer healthy life for you and your family. We are all behind you.
Shift that rear end… you are doing great
Cheers
Barb
